[What's new in TeachingKidsBusiness.com] BBBS of Greater Miami is partnering with TeachingKidsBusiness.com to provide career preparation activities for kids.
We would like to introduce you to a quality resource for activities related to career preparation for kids. www.teachingkidsbusiness.com is available to help engage and inspire kids to develop business skills, explore career choices and prepare themselves for careers & business.
The website has "tools" in the Resource Center to help kids develop business skills & general life skills to help them in their daily lives. The "Business Encounters" section provides kids with a number of "experience opportunities" to help them gain valuable work related experience and begin to develop a resume. Our "Community Involvement" section encourages community minded people to share business related advice and resources to help prepare kids for business and careers.
The underlying philosophy of the website is that kids have tremendous potential; we just have to give them the tools, opportunities, support and encouragement to achieve that potential. Try our songwriting program and help other kids learn about business and careers through music. Our business club and book club are excellent group activities for kids. We recognize that Big Brothers and Big Sisters are the ideal mentors to help kids in the area of careers. We encourage you to expand your mentoring activities to include business and career related conversations and activities. We hope that we can provide resources in this area and make it a very impactful experience. We have created a Kids-Works-Ventures Program to help kids develop works with the potential of commercialization . |
BBBS of Greater Miami Kid's Business Activity |
BBBS of Greater Miami is interested in facilitating a business experience for Little Brothers and Sisters in the Miami area. The business experience activity starts with the Just For Clicks Business Game™ available through www.teachingkidsbusiness.com . The intention of the business game is to help kids gain valuable business related experience by developing a "digital product" and creating a business. After the kids develop their products, we review the submissions and when appropriate we will launch the product into a kid's marketplace for the world to enjoy their products.
Please view the game in the website and follow the set-up steps and helpful hints. If you do not have internet access, printed copies can be obtained through the BBBS offices. On successful completion of the Just For Clicks Business Game™ we have agreed to provide the opportunity for the kids to take their products to market.
