I try and read as much as I can and hope you will to.

Why?   I like to read because I learn lots and I find it very relaxing.  On a rainy day, reading is a great thing to do.

When? I like to read before I sleep at night because it helps me get to sleep better and I dream about what is going to happen next in my book. Remember to make sure you have good lighting to read and that you are comfortable.

How often? I read every day.  I try and read at least four chapters each day. I try and have a book with me if I have some spare time. I find that most kids are so busy doing lots of other things but it would be a good thing to find a little more time to read.  I would rather read then to watch a lot of TV.

I recommend books to friends. My teachers and librarian often recommend books to me.

A book club might be of interest to you.  Ask some friends to read the same book and then get together and discuss it. It is a great excuse to talk on the phone to friends or just get together and talk.

My Mom and Dad tell me that reading will help in whatever I do in life.  I must agree that my reading has really helped me get  good marks in school.
