College Golf Mentoring Program

The purpose of the College Golf Mentoring Program is for college golfers to share their experiences to help educate kids with the valuable life skills that can be learned through the game of golf.

Most golfers would say there are many life lessons and valuable skills developed on the golf course. This program shares this type of education with kids. If you were to sit a kid down and lecture them about personal development and life skills, it would probably go in one ear and out the other, but when you put it in the context of the game of golf, it is a much more interesting concept to grasp.

The College Golf Mentoring Program is an extension of our caddying program at www.teachingkidsbusiness.com/caddieprogram.htm. The current caddying program has already benefited thousands of kids internationally by educating kids on the caddy role. We are expanding our program with the College Golf Mentoring Program to include a broader education through golf. We deliver this education through our online resources and we are expanding to include videos and to work with charities in developing countries to help further educate kids through golf.

You have succeeded in golf by playing at the level of college golf. As a successful and experienced golfer, you have a lot to offer. Your knowledge of the game and experiences will have a valuable impact on kids. You are a role model, because you are pursuing a college education and playing at a high competitive level in sports. What better way to give back to the community then to do it through golf.

Here are some ways for you to participate:

  • Video on how golf has changed your life- the good influences of golf or life lessons learned.
  • Video on tips to help kids learn about important etiquette in golf.
  • Video tips on what you feel are important ways a caddy can help a golfer
  • Video of encouragement on how kids can benefit from a caddy job - things that can be learned from exposure to golf.
  • Video or written experiences you have had caddying.
  • Written encouragement to kids (we will not publish your contact information)
  • Written golf stories that will inspire kids to get involved in golf

These resources and our current caddie program, provide kids with encouragement, training and inspiration to learn through golf. We will share your videos and words of encouragement through our online program.

I prepared a sample video to encourage kids to get involved in golf through caddying. It can be viewed at;
