Pretend you are the  sales person and think of ways to sell kids on starting a business in www.kidse-marketplace.com. Selling Aids

This is an area that we need to work on.

The www.kidse-marketplace.com is a good source of information.

Sales Plan

A sales plan is the approach you are going to take to sell the business set-up package.

Understand your customer. Why should kids start in business. How will it benefit them. Come up with a statement in your own words on why kids need to start into business.

The plan should consist of the following components;

  1. What are you going to say - like a 30 second commercial. You need to be able to talk about www.kidse-marketplace.com . Like a commercial you need to say it quick and effective.
    a) I'm selling a business set-up for kids
    b) I like it because ...
    c) It will help you understand and get started in business.
    d) Here is how you get it @ www.teachingkidsbusiness.com/kidse-marketplace.com-intro-set-up-package.htm

  2.  You need to show them something - example of a product (KODIP)

Getting Paid

The key to getting paid as quick as possible is to provide timely, accurate and proper information to allow us to process the necessary information and make payment to you.

This is a very unique program we are developing and it will take time to ensure that we cover all the issues to ensure that kids get credit for their sales and receive the money they have earned.

When a person buys the start-up package through www.teachingkidsbusiness.com they click on a "Buy Now" which connects them to www.paypal.com to process the payment. We believe that this is a secure and trusted way of processing payments. As a customer goes through the purchasing, they provide their e-mail address. This is the key information that we receive for us to identify the sale as your sale.  We need to match an e-mail from PayPal to a "Sales Report" from you. Make sure your customer know your name.

Please note that we do not want a sales report each time you make a sale. To start with, please submit a "Sales Report" every  Friday. As we get things running smoothly we will move to every two weeks and then once a month.

The following is the format of the "Sales Report" we would like you to send. For you to receive payment from us you will have to complete all the information properly. Please send your report with a "request a read receipt for this message". (In Microsoft Outlook - Click on View then Options and click on "Request a read receipt for this message".

Explanation:

Date: This is the current date that you are filing the report. Day you are sending it to us.

Date of last Sales Report:- by putting the date here for the last sales report you sent us we can be sure we received the previous report.

"Date of Purchase" - this helps us find the PayPal e-mail by date or approximate date.

"e-mail of purchaser" - this allows us to match the purchaser to your "Sales Report". This is the only way we can pay you.

"The name that their PayPal account is in" - you realize you will need to open a PayPal account at www.PayPal.com to be able to receive that money we transfer you and to they transfer the funds to a bank account or to make purchases from your PayPal account. When we send you money we need to put the right name on our e-mail for PayPal to send it to you.

"The  e-mail address set-up for you in PayPal". If you and your parents decide to put the PayPal account in the name of an adult then this is the e-mail address that that we need for payment. This is the e-mail that we send your money to.

Additional Information on Getting Paid:

We will e-mail each person who buys a set-up package and ask them how they found out about it.

We are using PayPal as our payment and sales system. We are starting with this system because it is easy to get set-up for you and us. We both need to work with it and see how it works. As our businesses grow we can examine other alternatives ways to receive and make payments. Please go into www.paypal.com and set-up an account. Please have an adult supervise this part of your business. We want everyone to be comfortable on how it works.

Since it costs approximately $0.50 (fifty cents) to transfer money to you (business accounts cost while your personal account is free) so we do not want to make the transfers to frequent.  The cost to transfer you $5.00 is the same if we transfer you $20.00 There is also a cost of our time to make a payment to you.

We will make payment to you via PayPal within 30 days in the month following the business set-up purchase. (If you sold the package on June 7th - we would make payment by July 30th)  Remember you can only get paid after we get paid for the purchase. In the event that PayPal notifies us of a payment return or other problems, the commission payment will not be paid to you or it will be deducted from future payments. We expect to pay you much quicker initially but as the program grows it may take up to the 30 days.

Marketing and Promotions

Here are a few links in our site to help you with this area.

Selling Aids

This is an area that we need to work on. We are working on a commercial which will be posted on the website soon.

The www.kidse-marketplace.com is the best way for kids to understand the business set-up package.

Business Cards

Business cards can be a very helpful tool for business people such as yourself. After talking to someone about the purchase of our product, a business card helps people remember who you are and how to contact you.

In the case of kids, we have to be careful about the information you put on the card. I would recommend that you do not put your house address on your card. I would discuss this with your parents.

I recommend that you consider the following layout for your card;

Your Name or Net Name or Your Business Name

your e-mail address (discuss this with your parents)

TeachingKidsBusiness.com Jobs-For-Kids Program

The one thing we have to think through is how you can make sure that the business set-up sales that you generate can be matched to the person who buys online from TeachingKidsBusiness.com. I need to know the e-mail addresses from you to check them with the people we e-mail a book to. If you were to hand out a hundred business cards to potential customers and all of those people later went online and bought a business set-up package - how would I know and how would you know that the purchases were the people that you talked to or gave a card to.

Ideally if you could get people to write down their e-mail addresses on a "customer list" of yours before you give them your card and e-mail this list to me - it would work. It is not the best system but it is a starting point for us to build and make better.

Example of a customer list :
